Feed The Cows

Unlike me, most cows are fed a diet that is primarily corn based. This is a great plan for gaining weight fast (who wants to do that?) and a really bad idea for healthy bovine digestion! All that corn produces acid in our tummies and causes unnatural belching (methane gas). This has a devastating impact on the environment-OUR environment.

If we were fed less corn and more grass global warming would be reduced-But overgrazing is a problem too!

What’s a cow to do? What are you going to do?
Contact me under comments and tell me what you're going to do to help the environment .
Here is one suggestion to help you get started:

  • Feed the cows silage. It’s like cole slaw for cows! Silage is made of fermented greens and is very nutritious.

Veggies vs. Meat

  • - 1 serving of beef contains 53% fat
  • - a serving of beans is only 3% fat

  • - chicken contains 21% fat per serving
  • - a stalk of celery has only 9% fat

  • - bacon is high in cholesterol and contains 71% fat per strip!
  • - broccoli has lots of iron and has only 8% fat per serving.
